One of the most disappointing world cups. Being the South Africa fan that I am, it was a disappointing run. They did play well in patches. On the flip side, there has never been a team as daunting as the West Indies of the 80’s other than the Australia team of the 00’s.
The Aussies are playing on another level and setting bizarre records. I don’t think Sri Lanka is going to beat them in the finals unless Jayasuria plays an explosive innings, other than him, there is no one in the team who has the same caliber as that of the Aussies.
I think the Aussies already have the cup in their back pocket.
But…
Being the South Africa fan that I am, I would love to see the Lankans humiliate the Aussies. Go Sri Lanka!
