PepperWater.com was founded in 2006 by Conrad Abraham, a Perambur boy who was schooled at St. Mary's, Parrys then St. Matthias and then Loyola college ("briefly") and later on move the Atlanta GA. In 2005 I visited India only to find it had changed a lot. My friends had moved to different parts of the world and there was a feeling of disconnect. When I returned to the US after the Christmas of 2005 I had a small idea to begin a site where, at the least, my friends and I could have a common place to hang out.
My friends told their friends and they told their friends and I wasn't prepared for the growth. Over the years PepperWater has grown to be one, if not the largest in just number of members represnting Anglo-Indians on the web.
Mission.
PepperWater's mission yet remains yet simple through all the change it has been through. It's mission is simply this - to connect Anglo's, to serve them with quality content, to make people smile and to do all these things with a quality that is world class. I believe we continually strive to excel in these areas and saying that we have achieved these goals would be conceited.
Pepperwater intends to be a place where Anglos can connect and also to serve up news - to be the CNN for Anglo-Indians.
We have come a long way since 2006 and it has only been a little over three years. We could not have made it this far without a dedicated team of volunteers and the Anglo-Indian community who visited daily.
Volunteers
Pepperwater is run solely by volunteers. We are constanly looking out for new volunteers to be a part of this Anglo-Indian revolution. If you would love to be on staff as a volunteer plese email Conrad Abraham.
Hiring.
We did try out a paid job but decided we weren't ready for that yet, however things are shaping up this year so we might revisit that.
